The Westside Celebration Society is a 100% volunteer-operated non-profit society. It was established in 2001 and is responsible for the West Kelowna’s Canada Day celebration and the annual Westside Daze event. Every year more than 9,000 people, including locals and visitors, come together to enjoy these family-friendly events.
Cultivating Community Spirit in West Kelowna
The Westside Celebration Society is a dedicated non-profit based in West Kelowna. Driven entirely by volunteers, we are your neighbors, co-workers, and friends working hard to keep our community vibrant.
We believe that community celebrations should be accessible to everyone, which is why we take pride in offering free festival experiences. The Society does not charge admission for any event we host, ensuring that our Kids’ Fair, daytime entertainment, and evening concerts are open to all.
We welcome those looking to get involved; we offer rewarding volunteer positions for anyone ages 13 and up, and we encourage community members to join the society.

We are proud to organize and promote the region’s signature summer traditions, including Canada Day celebrations and the annual Westside Daze festival. We feature a diverse lineup of family-safe events such as the Kids’ Fair, Okanagan Day, a Show & Shine, the community parade, and spectacular fireworks.

Our planning process kicks off with strategic goals at our Annual General Meeting in late autumn, followed by monthly meetings starting the third Wednesday of each month from January through May, moving to a bi-weekly schedule as we approach our event dates.

The purpose of the Westside Celebration Society is to promote and operate festivals for the residents living on the Westside in West Kelowna. Membership in this organization is open to all who are members in good standing of West Kelowna, and who agree with the constitution and bylaws of Westside Celebration Society (2. Part II 2.1, Constitution 2012)
