June 30th and July 1st promises to bring over thirty racing teams to the Westside to compete for valuable

World Cup of Tub Racing points.

The event itself takes place in picturesque Gellatly Bay over two days. First the stocks, then the modifieds with the action winding up with trophy presentations on Sunday. Race fans will witness exciting racing action from shore and aboard boats along the outside edge of the course.

On the Canada Day weekend, the tubs will return to the Okanagan for the two day Westside Grand Prix Bathtub Races.

The race is part of the annual Westside Daze celebration. Expect to see representation in the July 1st parade, the pancake breakfasts, and the show & shine by tub racers. Tubbers come from all over the world! Teams come from B.C., Alberta, the United States, Australia, and New Zealand!

Racing in two classes, Stock and modified, the Westside Grand Prix will be the last real tune up for teams before the "World Championships" in Nanaimo, BC.

The Gellatly Bay Road walkway will be closed to vehicles and will allow spectators a fantastic view of the deck to deck competition, almost close enough to touch. Then after the races, stick around for the Westside Daze fireworks celebration high above the race course.
